from an old stack of black and whites that i developed myself. without access to a darkroom, my almost endless amounts of black and white film is just sitting in my closet collecting dust.
i asked my mom what i would have been named if i were a boy and she told me “andrew”, which explains my middle name of andrea. in the end, andy would have been my nick name either way.

my mom accidentally dropped a piece of this mini japanese garden adornment given to me more than six years ago. amazingly i put it back together! there was still some very minor pieces missing but we couldn’t find them on the floor.
i caught the flu from my father, who caught it from his coworker. i’m currently too sick to even step outside so i’ve been locked inside the house for the past few days. i’ve been watching so many movies though. hana and alice, honey and clover, hula girls… as you can see i love aoi yuu. i’ve also been watching the korean drama “my girl”. at first i thought it was ok but now i’m really enjoying it! it’s so cute and funny.
next on my own asian film festival lineup is the film “welcome to the quiet room” and the dramas “osen” and “camoflauge”. i saw half of camoflauge already but i can never find subs for the episodes. :( and not exactly asian, but a new season of anthony bourdain starts tomorrow and i’m so excited for tomorrow’s chile episode! anybody have any film recommendations?
